Hello Again

Split day.

The first half of the day I spent with Joce. We played a lot on the swing set. Playing Peter Pan, Joce was Wendy. I was Hook and Peter Pan. We got out a ball and played throw for a bit. Then we were called in for lunch.
Flower Joce gave me for making a goal with the ball.

After lunch Joce had to go home and Kenleigh came to play. Kenleigh and I colored for a good while. We talked about Kindergarten and she recited me a poem about creation she had to memorize for school.

Kenleigh and I also pretended to be looking for bears. Here's our basket to attract the bear. We were going to set it out and make a trail so the bear would follow the food.

It was so cool to see how much they had grown in just a few months. I missed them so much, it was so good to see them!

Uno

Today I got to babysit for the first time in, I guess, a month and a half. It feels like forever! I had no idea how much I missed the kids I babysit. Of course I think about them while there at school but I was so excited to get to see them and play with them!
Tonight I babysat the family of 3 little girls! The baby played with us for about an hour. Watching the older sisters play with a stage made out of a milk carton. So clever! Then it was my turn to perform on the stage then Chloe, the baby kept messing it up. But that was ok. It was time to put her to bed anyway. I hadn't put her to bed with her new routine. I turned on her rain music and the second I did, she started crying. I though Aww! she was having so much fun that she didn't want to go to sleep. But I put her in her bed and closed the door after 2 minutes, she was out. I was really impressed at how fast she fell asleep.
I walked into the other room to play with the girls for another hour and the younger sister who's 3 wanted to play Uno. I looked at the box and it had never been opened also it said 7+ so I was a little worried she would be good at playing. Honestly it wasn't that bad, the 3 year old can play Uno now. Although I did tell her what to play but I would let her choose which card to play.
So we opened the deck I shuffled and delt the cards. I didn't do a very good job shuffling because at times we would draw several cards of the same color so someone would have to draw 5+ cards before they got a usable card sometimes. Oops.
7yr old's hand at one point she had 13 cards

3yr olds hand, this is how she played. We laid them out and
it was easy for her to see them too.

My hand. Unfortunatly this is when I had a handful of 12 cards.
I should be glad I never had 13.
So we had the deck I would tell the 3 year old "Play your blue one now." "Oh you have a 3 play that." "Use your wild and say what card." It was lots of fun and the time flew by really fast. I let them stay up a little past their bed time finish the game. I ended with 3 cards, the 7 year old won, and the 3 year old came in second place. I could have let her come in 1st but I wanted to give the 7 year old a chance, I didn't know what card she had. But it was lots of fun!

What are the chances of this ever happening? Well it did between the 3yr old and 7yr old.
I got to watch. Although I was helping the 3yr old so I was a part of it.

Sticky Situation

Today I had double duty with children's church in both services and then I observed a kindergarten class during sunday school. The first Children's Church went well, we had three kids. 2 boys and a girl. We talked about the burning bush. And the color sheet to me instead of a burning bush looked to me like cotton candy. And when asked what it looked like I blurted out my response and after that the two boys wanted cotton candy and everything to them was cotton candy. It was so funny!
The second Children's Church came around. We had one little boy who is 3 in the class. I sat down and talked to some of the other kids. We had 10 kids total I think. It was a handful! The three year old, I had him in his seat with the other kids during story time but then he wanted to get up and move from his seat. After story time, he was running around the room and I saw him going around the tables. I knew he was heading to the door so I quickly maneuvered my way around the kids and got to the front of the door the door before he could make his exit. I grabbed him and swooped him up. He said, "Whoa!" Oh yeah! I was so good, he was a bit shocked that I stopped him from making it out the door. Also I was running around in heels which to me made it even more impressing. I had to pick him up a couple of more times to keep him from playing with things he shouldn't be messing with. After I put him under someone else watch I was able to visit with some of the other kids. One boy, I don't know what it was but he just loved glue and markers. I caught him gluing a marker. Yeah! Weird! I took the marker away from him and he was rubbing the glue all over his hands. I said, "Ok, I think it's time you go to the bathroom and wash your hands." So I went with him to the bathroom making sure he washed every bit off. I know sad day when we have to clean-up. Anyway once he was clean I walked him back to the classroom. Only to get back and find another boy whom I had to escort to the bathroom for clean-up duty. Boys! By the time I was done with clean-up duty it was just about time for the kids to go home. It was good and kids definitely keep you on your feet. That 3 year old had me and a helper chasing him around the room. Goodness! But I wouldn't change the chaos for anything. :) I miss hanging out with kids!

Fitness Guru's

I went to the gym with my friend and there were these two boy on the sidelines.

While the parents were exercising the little boy yells out "Da! Da! He took my phone. I wanna have it!" Well it wasn't his phone. The dad had given his son the phone when they got there to keep him entertained. Which I find really interesting.
Once everyone was done exercising, the instructor asks the youngest little boy. "Are you proud of mommy and daddy?"
"YES!" was his response. The coach was telling everybody how he thought it was funny that whenever he asked the boy a question it is always yes.
Then he asked the boy "Do you like bootcamp?"
The boy responded "No!"
Then his brother six year old brother came up to him and said. "Do you like me?"
"NO!"
"You don't like me? You sure you want to go with that?"

Later they were trying some of the cool down exercises.

When I grow up...

I find it so interesting to watch kids grow up. It happens very quickly and can be a little sad. But I love thinking about them growing in to the wonderful people they will be and it is so cool! I like finding out what they want to do and even as their idea of who they want to be changes.
So I asked a few of the kids I watch "What do you want to do when you grow up?" and here were some of their responses...

I want to be a pink dinosaur when I grow up.
...a librarian.
... a babysitter just like you.
... a truck.
... a cook/ baker.
... ballet excerise girl
... a daddy, mommy, and a sister. I wanna eat gum. Be Big! (yes, that was one girls response.)

One of the girls I watch told me she wanted to grow her hair out when she gets older and she is going to give her hair away just like I did. So cute!

Bunheads

Today I went and volunteered at a local shelter which sent me and my group to a little apartment center. We passed out fliers and picked up trash. Then they had us play with some neighborhood kids.
I sat down to talk to one boy as he was playing with puzzles. I saw that he had a different kind of rescue hero vehicle puzzle and asked which one was his favorite. He responded with the firetruck. Of course, should have guessed that one. Then he leaned over and hugged me. I was a bit surprised that he hugged me but it was really sweet. He played with the puzzles for a few more minutes then said. "I'm going to play football outside." I told him "Ok, have fun!" Then turned to talk to one of my friends.
A few minutes later this girl walks up to me, I would guess she's around 7 or 8 years old. She asks "Can I play with your hair?" I wanted to say no because I had it in a ponytail and thought it looked awful. Plus I knew it would have a major ponytail crease. But instead I said yes. So I took out my ponytail and bobbie pins.
She kept asking what she should do. She would put it in a high pony tail then into a bun, she would braid it. She put her bow in my hair and I was just hoping that she didn't have lice! Don't want to have to go through that!
After she fixed up my hair, she went over to one of my friends who sat across the table and asked if she could play with her hair. My friend said no. The little girl said, "She has softer hair than you." She was referring to me having softer hair. We all thought that was funny. After being turned down she asked my friend sitting next to me if she could do her hair. My friend said no but then gave in and let her. She gave her a bun then came back to play with my hair and put both our hair in buns. The friend who had said no laughed and said "You're bunheads." Which then we all laughed because I knew she was referring to that new show called Bunheads.
After a while it was time for us to go eat lunch so we had to leave. The kids were sad. They kept asking "Are you going to be back?" one of the boys little boys tried to pick me up. Some gave goodbye hugs. It was really sweet and a fun mission.

Last Evening,

On our way to the pool, we didn't go in the stroller, we walked. So the stopping and looking at things was more frequent than if we had the stroller. But Kenleigh had us stop and look at this little birds nest. It really fascinated Kenleigh.
Once we got to the pool we had a blast! Although I kept thinking how it will be the last time I'll see them for a while we all had a great time. Jocelyn is turning into quiet a little swimmer for a 3 year old! Kenleigh was doing really well too. I had to swim out to her once because she was doing laps with a girl she had met at the pool and she looked like she couldn't swim any more. So I swam out to help her. As I turn around I see Joce swimming out towards me, by herself, she wasn't wearing her floaties. I assumed she would stay on the step. It freaked me out! I had just rescued Kenleigh in the deep end and was now trying to keep both of us afloat to rescue Jocelyn. So I was swimming with all my might to save little joce. Which I grabbed her and swam for the steps. When we got there I told Joce to stay on the steps. It had worried me. I told them "I just saved you and I don't want to be in that position again." It scared me. Perhaps my scared response came off like I was upset at them because Joce started crying. Which after having time to really think about it. I think I she was fine but it frightened me that she wouldn't be able to swim when in reality she was ok and my reaction scared her. After a while she calmed down. But I was still traumatized by the incident.
Then on our way back, almost the second we got out of the gate, Jocelyn trips and scrapped her knee. So I end up carrying her. My hands were full with the pool bag and now her. Thank goodness we didn't bring a long noodles. We were halfway to the house when my flip-flop gave out on me. So I ended up with Jocelyn on one side, with me still carrying her, Kenleigh walking next to me, the pool bag on draped across my body, and now carrying my shoe. All while looking like a drenched homeless person with one shoe on and the other off. I'm sure it was quiet a site to see. And definitely a story to remember! I will never forget today!

Crazy Morning

Adalynne practiced her flip off the furniture.
1  =>
2 midflip

3 flip in landing
Then she started running around the living room. So, I made up a song to cheer her on. I figured it would get out all her energy.
(to the tune of row row row your boat.)
Run run run around
Run in a circle
Keep on running round till you turn purple.

Time to pick out a movie. I couldn't find the kids movies. So she was telling me what all she had.
"We have Sawhourse." In my mind I was running through if there even was a movie named Sawhourse. Couldn't think of one but thought maybe she means Sea biscuit but she's to young for that.
"Sawhourse?"I question. She pulls out a DVD case. It takes me a while to figure out the picture because it looks like an astronaut landing on the moon. "Oh! Star Wars!" I finally say. Yay! I figured it out.

Finally after turning down Star Wars. I find The Lion King. As I am putting the DVD in on TV is this little turtle doing a song and dance. Adalynne has a stuffed turtle.
"There's turtle!" She tells me. Turtle isn't with her, he is in the other room.
"Ohh turtle." I say in astonishment. "Aww turtle! I miss turtle." I say sadly because he isn't with us.
"He's ok!" Adalynne says reassuring me.

Watching the movie, Scar appears on the screen.
She asks, "That's scar?"
"Yeah." I say.
"I like him, I like scar."
"Why?" I said a bit surprised. Usually kids don't like the villain in the movie.
"Cuz he's a guy."

In the movie after eating a bug, Pumba burped I said "Sounds like you!"
"Yeah!" she says in agreement. I was expecting her to say no it does not! Then she burps. Well that just confirms it...

To Many Boys!

Tonight I babysat for an event at church. I watched five boys. It was only supposed to be three boys and one girl but some how I ended up getting five boys. And I must say it was a blast! Two of the boys were 3 years old, one was almost 6, and the other two were twins and they were 7.
They had lots of fun but as I will put it, I took a beating. I gave piggy back rides, played airplanes and G.I. Joe's, even had to use first aid on a bloody toe, and so much more...
I had found a really cool octopus that each of it's tentacles made noise. I would squeeze them all together, to me they sounded like a train, so I squeezed them twice and then would say "Choo Choo!" Some of the boys gave me weird looks and some thought I was funny. Then to one boy, that little octopus turned into a bunch of ice creams and would occasionally offer me one.
Later, I had a 3 year old on one foot and a 6 year old on the other, it was hard to walk, took a lot of strength to move just an inch.
Then I made a clever little train car that they all wanted to take turns riding. I had two different sized buckets, one could hold 3 of the kids the other could hold 2. Anyway, I tied them together with a purse and had the older kids in the bigger bucket hold onto the strap. It worked like a charm, they loved it. I pulled them several times in that.

Afterwards, I was walking out the same time as one of the little 3 year olds and his mom and grandmother. He comes running after me saying, "Wait! Wait!" I bend down expecting a hug but instead he says, "I want to kiss you." and he kisses me on the cheek. He was so cute! Then he runs to back to his grandma and says, "I'm riding with grandma!" I told him that sounded like fun!

Bible Reinactment

The moment I walked into the room I was designated being baby Moses. Which I'm ok with. Jocelyn was at first Moses' mom then was his wife (role later taken over by Kenleigh), later she became Pharaoh's daughter. Kenleigh was Moses' sister then became his wife, leaving behind the sister role. I, being moses, asked Pharaoh's daughter (we didn't have a Pharaoh) to let my people go. Of course she said no so God sent the plagues. My scarf being the staff turned into a snake and she still said no. Then Kenleigh and I were able to escape the land and traveled around in the desert. Joce, Pharaoh's daughter, tried to come to but we told her she wasn't a Jew. She had to be a Jew if she was going to come because Pharaoh and his people weren't allowed on the journey. I don't think she quiet understood.

locus lunch
Later, we found a toy from a kids meal. I remember playing with one of these when I was a kid. Of course it was my mom's. I can't believe the restaurant is bringing some of the old fashioned toys back.
It was funny to watch the girls play with it. Kenleigh would say, "Joce, let me show you how." which at first Kenleigh was having problems with starting the top but then she got it. Joce wanted to stop it from spinning and Kenleigh would get so mad. Then after telling Joce to stop trying to stop it. They both laid down on the floor and watched it spin.

Almost time to say good-bye

I picked up the girls from VBS this evening. When we got to my car and I opened the front door, Jocelyn was standing a few feet away. She said to me "I smell your car."
"Wow! You can smell my car?" I reply back.
"Yeah!"
"Wow! You have a very good sniffer!" then as I put her in her car seat and she starts making sniffing noises. So funny. Using that good sniffer.

We had just got ourselves situated in the car and I ask the girls about VBS. Jocelyn tries to tell me what she had for snack and I ask if she had Mac & cheese. She says yes. Then starts listing "Pretzels, cheese, mac and cheese..."
Kenleigh said "I didn't get any Mac & cheese. Joce did you really get Mac & cheese?" Apparently Kenleigh was upset that she didn't have any mac & cheese but something tells me Joce didn't have any either.

During the drive to their house. Kenleigh asks Jocelyn if she tooted because she heard a bzzzt noise. (ok, it's hard to make sounds when you have to type it out.) As we were driving in the car Joce tells me that I need a diaper change.
"What?!?" I reply. "I'm not even wearing a diaper! No one in this car is wearing a diaper!"
As we kept on driving Joce is singing a song almost the whole way home and from what I recall it wasn't a very kind song though most of the words where kind of not understandable. She was making it all up from the sound of it.

Once we got to their house it was time for bath and bed. They brought out Gilbert. They wanted to wash him. I told them they had to wash themselves first. Then they played with Gilbert. Like in my earlier post, Our Friend Gilbert, they wanted to dress him with wash cloths. Joce is holding one and smelling it. I ask "Does that smell good?"
She shakes her head and scrunches her nose up and says "Smells like laundry." They asked for some soap to was Gilbert so I gave them a few squirts and they went to scrubbing Gilbert clean. "Wash your nose." Kenleigh said.
"Wash your eyes." -Jocelyn
"Wash your chin. Wash your tail." -Kenleigh
Then they go to rince him off and want to wash him again.
Kenleigh looks and me and says "Joce is not letting me wash Gilbert!"
This is not the first time I have to tell them "One person gets to wash the head. The other one gets to wash the body."
Then Kenleigh says of Gilbert and the yummy smelling soap. "He smells goodieood!!"
After they have Gilbert dressed Joce looks up to me and says "Can you take a picture this time?"
"Of Gilbert?" Joce nods her head.

Bed time equals story time and I tell them that since it is my last night to watch them for volleyball I'll read them three books. So we each picked out one. Joce chose Cinderella. Kenleigh chose, I Love My Daddy Because..., and I chose one of their all time favorites that it had been a while since I read it to them, There is a Monster at the End of this Book.

Jewelry Extravaganza

Today I babysat a boy, Ryan, who's three and a girl, Lea, who is six. Anyway we were playing in their play room. Lea got out all her rocks and showed me which one was her favorite. She had lots but I have seen more. I didn't realize how much kids love rocks.
Lea pulls out this puzzle that builds into a circle. I guess I am out of the cool loop because I had never seen anything like it. So I made her put it together and I helped.

Ryan wanted to play with his train set so we got it all out in the living room after a while before we even got it set up, he didn't want to play with it. But I thought it was cool, to build the track anyway you want it. So while his sister and I played with it for a bit. Ryan was trying to tell me something, some of the time it is hard to make out what he is saying. I catch something like his nose is in the garage.?
His sister looks at me and says "I don't know what he is saying do you?" Um... not quiet. Usually siblings can understand better what their sibling is trying to say but apparently that wasn't the case.
Randomly Ryan starts bocking like a chicken. "bock! bock!"
I look over to him and ask "Are you a chicken?" he nods his head. A few times Lea would join in.
We played this princess game wher you had to collect the jewlery. Lea got close to winning several times. I must say it was pretty funny seeing Ryan in earrings because the game is you spin the dial then you move the pieces and you either collect jewelry or put it back. Whoever ends up with all the jewels of their color and the crown wins.
I won. No cheating was involved

Silly Time

This morning was a day full of silliness! I was watching three girls. A one year old, three and six year old.
We played a game where you draw something and have to guess it. Well I got to go first in the drawing department and it is so hard because when you're not thinking about it you could draw anything but when you're put on the spot, you can't think of anything.
Can you guess what that is?
We listened to music over and over and over again. One of the songs was Jingle Bells, good month after all isn't it supposed to be Christmas in July?
The piano was the music. It was nice for about the first 30 minutes.
Later on, the oldest asks me. "How can I be silly?" At first I don't know what she means by that. Because when I had arrived she and her sister had done a silly song and dance for me and told me a couple of jokes. So I wasn't sure if she was asking for jokes. But then she said "how to dress silly." So I told her she needed miss matched socks and clothes that just didn't go together. She had on two different socks but then decided to make her own out of tissues. Which I thought was a neat idea although they don't last long. Her sister decided to follow her example and made some too.

We ended up with some funny combinations like scarfs on legs and winter hats. I made a funny hat out of pipe cleaners. There was undies over pants and shirts on heads. It got pretty silly!

Museum Madness

Today I went with Jocelyn, Kenleigh, and their grandmother to an Art Museum.
While their grandma sat with her friends and talked, I took the girls around the little exhibit.
Earlier we just browsed the first room and the guards got onto us for have a little sippy cup out of a bag, even though it had a lid. So when we went to walk through more of the exhibit. Joce had her lemonade in her little sippy cup. I told Joce she had better finish it before we go in if she wants to look at the pretty pictures. Kenleigh was hanging onto one of the stroller handles saying “We can’t take the drink in there. The guard will get mad. Joce, you can't take the drink in there.” I told her she was right and encouraged Jocelyn to drink a little faster. Kenleigh was getting very antsy. Finally, after much asking if she was done and if I could put her cup in the bag Joce relented to giving me her lemonade. I stored it under the stroller to please the guards.
We would walk around from painting to painting and Kenleigh would say, not in a library tone “Read that one!” pointing to the sign next to the painting that talked about it. I would read the title if I could pronounce it and give a short little summary of what I thought it was about. I would occasionally ask them what they thought was going on in the painting but it didn’t last long with Kenleigh. I would start to say the title on some of them then she would scurry off to the next painting and I would hear “Read this one!” I could feel the guards eyes on us as we moved from painting to painting and room to room. No doubt waiting to find something to get on to us about.
Every time Kenleigh would holler out “Whats this one say?” or “Read that one.” I would try and shh her I was afraid the guards would be like the kids are to noisy, kick them out! Forutnately they never had to. Jocelyn would occasionally yell out something too and I’d try and calmly tell her to be quiet. She just wanted to be out of the stroller but if I let her out then she’d be running all over the place.
Kids not getting a nap makes them not always the pleasant person to be around. I have learned. And those two little girls didn’t have one so of course as the day went on their would be little squabbles here and there but overall it was a fun outing.

Memory Card

Today as I was making lunch, Mac & Cheese, for the girls. Earlier they had been playing with a Disney Princess memory card game. Kenleigh had brought several to the table and was laying them all out. Joce got upset because Kenleigh had lots of memory cards and she didn't have any. I told here there were several in the living room but she just kept on fussing. So finally I carried her in there so she could see for herself and of course she found some and brought them back to the table while Kenleigh collected all the rest. After playing for a bit and counting how many cards each had Joce notices that she didn't have a match of one of the little mermaid cards. I told her it was ok and that she really didn't need a match. It didn't work she cried about it and I kept telling her that it was ok. She got upset with Kenleigh and tried to take her card. So I took them both away. And Joce went crying to her room and closed the door.
Kenleigh stayed in the kitchen with me and I talked to her about why Joce was sad and that Kenleigh could be the bigger person and do the right thing by maybe giving Jocelyn the card. But I wanted Kenleigh to want to give it to her. I didn't want to force Kenleigh to give it to her. I told Kenleigh, “Kenleigh, you want to be the bigger person so I would like you to give joce your mermaid card." Ok, maybe I did tell her to give it to Joce but I wanted it to come from her heart. "Don’t you want her to say years from now. Kenleigh, you’re the bestest sister I ever had! Remember that time you gave me the memory card?” Well, a few years from now Jocelyn probably won't remember the memory card but it was relevant at the time. She thought about it for a  couple of seconds and nodded her head. I gave her the memory cards and she went to give them to Joce. They were both in there for a few minutes and I wasn't hearing any fighting or anything out of them so I was walking to their room when I ran into Kenleigh and I asked her if Joce was happy that Kenleigh gave her the mermaid cards. She nodded and said Joce was happy. I gave her a big hug and told her I was so proud of her. I was proud of her decision and still am. I really think she wanted to give Jocelyn the cards although it took a little help from me for her to see that she did it and that's what counts. :)

ARGH! We Pirates!

When I first arrive at Jocelyn and Kenleigh's I am set down on the couch as they apply make-up to themselves later to myself. Jocelyn tells me "Don't peek." They start applying make-up to my eyes. with markers and yes, I made sure they were capped. Kenleigh brushed my hair. So after were had our make-up on we were ready to play.
The make-up bowl and brushes.
We play fairies and Jocelyn is the head fairy, Kenleigh is a princess, and I am a princess. Then of course their come a question of who is going to be prince. Kenleigh finds a Koala bear and says that he will be the prince.
I ask Joce if she wants the Koala to be her prince but she responds with a shake of her head and says "No, I'm a fairy, Fairys don't marry princes."
"Why?" I asked.
"Fairies have lots of friends."
Our wands, there were 3 so we each had one!

As we were picking up some toys Kenleigh found a pirate earring and I found an eye patch. Instead of princesses and fairies we all became pirates.
Kenleigh yells out "Argh! Maites Argh! Poist the sails!!" I got a good laugh out of that one.
I said, "I think you mean hoist, hoist the sails."
Then we started a little saying we call to each other. Kenleigh would say, "ARgh me Pirates!"
and the others would call out in a certain rhythem "Argh, argh, argh argh argh!" (guess you had to be there.)
Then Kenleigh spys something off of our ship. I don't remember what it was but she says "It's something steryous!" meaning mysterious. "Poist the sails."
So we hoisted them and she hollers out. "Uh captain." that's me. "some people aren't waping the deck." meaning swabing .
"I told her you make them wap the deck other wize..."
"They walk the plank!" We had to make a few men walk the plank but they just weren't doing their job.

Summer Days

This morning instead of going in the car, I stayed with Jocelyn at home. She wanted to play with the Play-Doh. So we spent about an hour doing that. We made snowmen and tons of different kinds of hearts.
roll it out Jocelyn

Jocelyn also wanted her hair braided so I did that. I think it's the first time I have braided her hair, since it is short. Although I must say braiding a kids hair when the kid likes to move around is hard!

The braid
When the other kids got here, while they played, I was in charge of making seven lunches not including my own. They had a choice between Peanut butter and jelly, ham, or turkey sandwiches. I was running around making sandwiches and taking orders. Remembering who wanted what kind of sandwich with mayo or without with cheese or without, and just plain pb. Oh, and their was one with no bread, that was a turkey. A PB&J would have been real messy without bread. I must say it was a blast! And now I'm a sandwich pro!

The chaos in the kitchen
All the plates with sandwiches
After lunch all the kids got their swimsuits on and we headed outside for some summer fun! With the water wiggler the kids would run with the water buckets from the pool to the wiggly hose and fill up the buckets. The wiggly was made for kids to run through and for some reason, that is the one thing they don't do but I must say it is a great way to water the yard.

Water Wiggler (I actually don't know it's exact name.)

Car Ride Conversations

Here are a few conversations I heard on the car ride back to the house today:

"Eat the chocolate, it will make me run faster." Apparently chocolate now has special power.
"Run! The truck is after us! They're bad." Ruby screams from the very back seat.
"No! They're good." Kenleigh tries to tell her.
"No, nobody is following us." One of the other girls shout.
"No, no, no, no, you're not making any sence. It is hidden in the garden. We have to go down that driveway to that driveway to get to the garden." Kenleigh says.
Joce says to the girls in the back. "Guys, what are you talking about?"
Andrew says, "I don't know."

"Who wants to go faster? If we eat this chocolate, you can freeze time. Eat it, it freezes everything but what your touching." Ruby says still caught up on the chocolate having magical powers.
Kenleigh, "Thats not going to help us."
"Who wants to eat the big one?" Ruby asks.
"Ruby's sharing chocolate with us." Kenleigh yells to us sitting in the front.
Joce says, "Uh, what Kenleigh talking about?"
Andrew says to joce, "Don't ask."

"Yesterday morning I remember when they were kicking my head. It got annoying." Andrew told to the car.

"Don't eat the wrapper!" Ruby shouts to Kenleigh.
Then I hear Joce making little sounds, "I'm a baby." I looked over and she is playing with her fingers like they are puppets.

Froggy

I was downstairs waiting for the UPS guy and Joce calls out my name and asks "Are you down there?" I respond with "Joce. I'm in here." She comes walking in and climbs up on a chair and looks at the book shelves where their are books, action figures, and a few stuffed animals. She picks up a frog beanie baby and starts playing with him.
She sets the frog down on the chair that I am sitting in. I went to pet him and she pulls him away and says, "He doesn’t like you because you be angry at him."
"I'm angry at him?" I replied a little confused, I didn't think I was sounding angry. Then she brings him back to the chair I was sitting in and I went to pet him again and he bites me.
“He bit you because he being angry at you.”
"Now he's angry at me?" I respond even more confused as to why this little frog is angry at me. I don't know what I had done for him to be so angry.
“Don’t pet him say your sorry. Say sorry froggy” Now I have to appologise to a stuffed frog? Alright, the stuff you do for kids.
"I’m sorry froggy for acting… angry? Was I acting angry.” She sets him at the foot of my chair facing me as she walks around the room.
“He’s not looking at you, he’s looking at mamma.” She says to me as she walks back over and gives him a hug.
"Who's Mamma?"
"I'm his mamma." She says. "He like his Mamma."
"Do you give him kisses?" I ask.
"Mmm-humm." She kisses the frog. her face changes into an angry face. "I'm not going to kiss a frog! YUCK!"

She plays with the frog a little while longer and some how froggy ends up in timeout and then I guess he gets murdered by the action figures. I am watching so this all goes on in her head. She would tell me occasionally what was happening. I looked over one time and froggy was laying on his back and she says "He dead."
"Oh no! Poor froggy!"

Day two of after VBS

Well this time I was able to go with and pick them up in the car. Boy, once you have the six kids in the car, it gets loud. Kenleigh was in the very back with two of her friends, then Joce was in the back/middle seat with Andrew and another one of their friends and I was in the passenger seat. As we were driving down the road. I hear Kenleigh giggling with the two of her friends in the very back saying something like "I'll cut your hair off." (not very exciting but I guess it's time for haircuts?) I look at Joce and she is looking over her shoulder and says to kenleigh and her friends "Guys stop laughing!" and much to her dismay they didn't listen. I had to intervene a couple of times to tell them to quiet down. We dropped off the friends then it was time for lunch. I made sandwiches of different kinds.
After lunch we played. Jocelyn was using a wire hanger for a bow and arrow. What a great idea! I found this plastic one and couldn't find a string anywhere. After digging around in the dress-up box I found suspenders. Perfect! So I wrapped them around and made it into a bow and arrow. Then Andrew and I hunted a dragon. I was going to take a picture of my handy work and right before I did Joce wanted to see it. Well she pulled hard on the string and it snapped it. I was a little disappointed that it didn't last long.
After playing inside for a bit, we went outside and I told them there was a surprise today.

The Surprise

Kenleigh and Andrew wanted to swing so I stayed with Joce and we played with chalk. We joined them after a little coloring.
Joce's rainbow

Kenleigh pushed Joce in her swing. What a great big sister!

It was really hot so after playing for a while we went inside. Andrew wanted to play what we were playing yesterday so they put their costumes back on and we continued till it was time for them to go home.
Joce gave me some jewels so I was rich, after all they are rubies ;)

Story Land

Princess Comfortable chasing Bob the Bunny
When it was time for Joce to get a nap. Kenleigh, her cousin and I played a game. Not exactly sure who I was but I was a good guy. Kenleigh was Princess Comfortable, and Andrew her cousin was Bob the bunny/ Bob the builder/ Bob and Larry. Along with his sidekick played by Tigger who was Larry/ Tigger the attacker. And I mean he was an attacker! He jumped on my face a couple of times. Kenleigh and I had to hide the treasure from Bob the builder who was evil. But Bob the bunny was to good guy. Yes, It did get a little confusing.
The 2nd sidekick or 3rd, QuaQua, which sounded like a bird call so I don't think I'm saying it correctly
Princess Comfortable checking on her treasure

The Key!!
Two of the many sidekicks to bob the bunny or was it builder? Oh I can't remember anymore
